Know what day it is? National Pet Day is celebrated every April 11 in the U.S. National Pet Day dates back to 2006 and was created by an animal welfare advocate, Colleen Page, to celebrate the joy that pets can bring us. She goes further to encourage those who want purebred dogs and cats to contact animal shelters to adopt them rather than buy them. “Don't buy! Go Adopt!” This has become the mantra of the holiday season. It's estimated that about 1.6 million cats and 1.6 million dogs are now adopted and find homes across the U.S. each year.
At first this celebration was only in the United States, but it soon expanded internationally. Now pet lovers celebrate the day in countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Spain, Guam, and Scotland.
Growing up, we've all had pets at one time or another, or had friends around us who had pets. I love small animals and have had several rabbits one after another; when I was growing up, I had a dog with a friend; and now, I have a small crab at home.
Precisely because we have had or are having pets, we are more concerned about the situation of stray animals in the city. As people's awareness of animal care continues to grow, we can see cats and dogs everywhere on university campuses living in harmony with students and accepting their feedings; in society, community members have taken it upon themselves to set up pet homes to help stray animals through bad weather; and aunts in the neighborhood feed them regularly.
However, stray animals are reproducing at an increasing rate, while the adoption rate of newborn animals continues to decline. To solve this problem, many pet hospitals voluntarily and at their own expense receive stray animals into their hospitals for de-sexing surgeries. Neutered cats and dogs not only reduce the risk of disease and prolong life, but also reduce the aggressiveness and territorial awareness of male pets, preventing children from being scratched or bitten when they mistakenly enter their territory while playing.
In caring for pets, owners need to deal with their pet's hygiene on a daily basis. For example, they have to wipe the dog's feet and body after coming back from walking the dog; the most headache is that the dog has just been bathed for a few days, but because of mischievous behavior has soiled its fur, and it is impossible to bathe it again because of the bad weather. At this point, owners usually use a lot of wet wipes to clean their dog's body. One of our fans mentioned that this practice consumes too many wipes, especially for large dogs. She wanted TYMUS to release a larger size of wipes.
Upon receiving the fan's feedback, we immediately formed a research and development team and invited this fan and other pet owners to be our “Big Pet Wipes Chief Trial Officers”. After continuous feedback and improvement, we finally developed Big Pet Wipes.
Designed to be oversized for large dogs and smaller, Big Pet Wipes are made from a thicker, non-woven fabric that prevents the wipes from breaking during the wiping process. At the same time, the formula continues to follow pet-friendly principles, with pet safety as a top priority.
With this product, we hope to make it easier for every pet owner to take care of their furry friends, while doing our part to care for stray animals.
